This project involved conceptualizing a design for a LEGO artist who aimed to develop a portfolio website. The website would serve as a complement to his Bricklinks shop, providing a platform to showcase his various projects.
I used minimalist design elements to let the playful and colorful nature of LEGO really shine. I contemplated using a lot of color throughout the design but ended up deciding it looked a little too much like a website aimed at children instead of an artist's portfolio. For the limited colors I did use, I took direct inspiration from the client's pre-designed logo.
I chose to experiment with creating the wireframes in Adobe XD, but ultimately decided to switch back to Figma after creating the general idea of each page in order to make use of Figma's many plugin options.
I used a separated frame to create the navigation bar as a component with all of the headings as links to the other pages.
